Garcia? Feely? Who Cares

I know Garcia had a great run last year and played a huge part in not just saving the Eagles season but in resurrecting fan interest through the second half of 2006. I'll admit it, my Eagles interest fell off the map after Donovan went down. I figured we'd be OK with Garcia back there, but the day after Donovan went down my daily Eagles conversations had nothing to do

A Sad Day for Philadelphia Fans

Scarlett.jpgIt was a sad day recently for Philadelphia Eagles fans. No, I'm not talking about our play-off loss. I am referring to the coach's current situation with his family. Poor Andy Reid. I listened to the live news conference on KYW (ok, I was really checking the traffic report as I was getting onto the Turnpike), but I heard the news of his leave-of-absence none-the-less. I can sympathize with anyone who has troubled kids (or kids, period). Parenting is a hard job and I can only assume that Coach Reid and his wife

Stallworth on TV: 'I definitely want to be with the Eagles' By LES BOWEN bowenl@phillynews.com

In an episode of "The Best Damn Sports Show" taped yesterday, receiver Donté Stallworth reiterated that he hopes to return to the Eagles but also elaborated on some possible destinations in free agency.

Stallworth, 26, came to the Birds in a trade last Aug. 28 for linebacker Mark Simoneau and a fourth-round draft pick that becomes a third if the Eagles sign him before free agency starts March 2. For that reason,

Is Anyone Listening?

Don Chuck.jpg

Before the 2006 season began I offered my preseason analysis to anyone who would listen, which including my dog, totaled three sets of ears.  Coming off of the miserable 2005 season with so much left to question, I felt that the birds need only reestablish themselves as a playoff team and that 2006 was NOT a season in which we would make a run for the Super Bowl.  Simply put, give me 10-6 and a playoff appearance and I'll walk away satisfied and confident that 2005 was just an aberration.
So looking back on 2006, seeing how the season unfolded, where we ended up and how I felt when it was all over, my preseason analysis was dead on.  Damn I'm good.
However, trying to stake claim to a prediction
